TOFS TLC and OA/TOF Mum, Naomi Webborn visited the Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament) building today and met with 16 Members including the Health Secretary.
Naomi was there to raise awareness of OA/TOF and talk about the need for better transition from paediatric to adult care.
Joel James MS, Welsh Conservative Regional Senedd Member for South Wales Central in the Welsh Parliament said he was, “Really grateful to meet Naomi today from TOFS at the Welsh Parliament.
I’ll be honest, I had no idea that ‘Oesophageal Atresia’ and ‘Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula’ existed and I can’t start to imagine the impact it must have on people’s lives. “
It’s where the oesophagus and/or trachea don’t develop properly and can lead to all manner of issues – it’s one of the UK’s rarest conditions.”
