TOFS publishes vaccine recommendation letter

We understand that some adults born with OA/TOF experience resistance from their GP when requesting vaccines to help prevent respiratory viruses. TOFS has published a letter which we hope will be helpful.

The letter recommends that patients with OA/TOF receive annual influenza vaccines, Covid vaccines (both routine and booster) and the Pneumococcus vaccine. It also requests that patients be added to the practice/national register, so they are invited for future vaccine programmes

The letter can be downloaded for you to print off or attach to an email here: https://tofs.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Vaccine-recommendation-from-TOFS-20_11_23.pdf

If your GP would like more information on OA/TOF, please direct them to the section for health professionals at https://tofs.org.uk/oa-tof-information/professionals/
