ERNICA are organising several webinars about the research collaboration in this Reference Network with focus on translational research, clinical trials, and quality of life. This webinar will be on Quality of Life. We invite researchers and healthcare professionals interested in this topic to join and participate.
The aim of the webinar is to provide an overview of the concepts “patient-reported outcome, quality of life and health-related quality of life” and how the quality of life (QoL) and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) have been evaluated in populations with the need for advanced pediatric surgery. The benefits of measuring QoL/HRQoL in patients for care and research will become apparent. We would like to conclude with a view from the speakers and the audience on gaps in knowledge within advanced pediatric surgery and future directions.
