Thank you to everybody who offered to run for TOFs in this year's London Marathon on 22nd April 2012. Unfortunately we were awarded only one charity place and after much deliberation selected James, or Jezz as as he prefers to be known, as the official TOFs runner. We do know that there are other runners who will be seeking sponsorship for TOFs and we are anxious to support all of you, so if you are one of those who will be running for TOFs please call the office and let us know. Jezz is aiming to raise £2000 in sponsorship but we think with your help it could be a lot more so let's try and make it £5000. As you probably know TOFs receives no money from government and is entirely reliant on gifts from individuals, groups, and organisations. Unfortunately at the present time our annual spend exceeds our annual income, so it is vital that we step up our fund raising efforts. Please try and help by sponsoring Jezz in this year's marathon. Your generosity will help us to continue our work in offering support to TOFs children and their families. http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/jamesmoore In fact why not think about raising even more money by making 22 April a LONDON MINI MARATHON DAY by organising your own mini marathon for children around your local park, or school playing field, to support Jezz's efforts. A MESSAGE FROM JEZZ MOORE Hi TOF Mum's and Dad's. My name is Jezz Moore and I'm running the 2012 Virgin London Marathon for TOFs Charity. I am also running in some smaller events before the London Marathon: http://www.hellrunner.co.uk/hell-in-the-middle/ http://www.eastbournehalf.co.uk/ My nephew Joseph Wood (parents Lis & Gary Wood) was born with TOF/OA in 2009. I also have a friend, now 23, who has TOF. These two people have made the marathon mean more to me than just a race or raising money for charity. I am determined to do it for TOFs and all the children, adults and families that it affects. I'm sure that you will agree that this is a very worthy charity and it would be great if you could sponsor my running, and make a donation to TOF's charity. Please follow the link to my online sponsorship page... http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/jamesmoore Thank you so much for your support. I hope to raise as much money as I can to help support all the brave Mum's, Dad's and TOF warriors!
