TOFS London Marathon runner Richard raises over 5600 for TOFS!

Not only did Richard Guest (Guesty) run an entire 26.2 miles for TOFS in the London Marathon but he managed to raise an amazing £5600 by doing so!  We are staggered - this is the biggest amount an individual marathon runner has ever raised for TOFS, and we are delighted he managed to complete the run, despite injuring his knee just prior to the event. Rich and his wife Kath would like to extend a huge thank you to their supporters - and so would we.  Kath says... 'On Saturday 15 April we held an Easter family day to help raise money to add to Rich's marathon fundraising efforts.   Lots of our friends and family came and enjoyed a treasure hunt, cake sale, face painting and barbecue.   We had also been selling raffle tickets in the run up to Easter and together with the fun day raised over £900.   A massive thank you to AFC Bournemouth, Marks and Spencer, Footloose Dance Academy, Virgin Active Dorset, Calma@home Beauty and Dynomite Bikes for some of the great prizes.  Rich’s marathon day was marred a little by injury but he still managed to complete the course with a smile on his face!   Thanks to the generosity of our family, friends and colleagues, our fundraising total stands at just over £5600.' Feeling inspired?  Why not run the Great North Run (half-marathon) for TOFS this September.   Applications are now open.  Just click here or email us on for an application form.
