What a year 2020 has been. Some of you reading this will have connected with TOFS for the very first time this year; whether by seeking information and support with your new baby, attending our online Q&A sessions, reading the COVID advice on the website, or reaching out to others via our Facebook group. They say necessity is the mother of invention and the challenges of this pandemic have certainly made us all very inventive. Our office staff have had to adapt to remote working and I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Jayne, Crystal and Anna for their hard work and support during the year.
I also want to pay tribute to the TOFS Board of Trustees and the magnificent volunteers who have gone above and beyond to support the charity in so many ways during these turbulent times. Our wonderful team of volunteer local contacts (TLCs) has tripled in number, and we look forward to finding new ways of working with them to further support members in 2021. And a special word to those of you who have fundraised for us. In a year when so many charities have got into trouble, we are still very much here – all thanks to you.
A very special thank you to the healthcare professionals who have worked tirelessly all year in challenging circumstances caring for our community.
Wishing you all a very happy and healthy Christmas. We will soon be leaving 2020 behind and look forward to a brighter 2021.
With very best wishes,
Diane Stephens - CEO, TOFS
