Grants & Awards Now Open

Guts UK are delighted to announce that the Amelie Waring and Derek Butler Fellowships are now open for applications from medical researchers.


Amelie Waring Fellowship

This is a fellowship for research into any aspect of pancreatic inflammation or injury.

One grant up to £180,000 is available, to cover for salary costs and consumables over a maximum of 3 years.

 

Derek Butler Fellowship

This is a fellowship is for research into diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract diseases and conditions. Research should be on the oesophagus, stomach or duodenum.

One grant up to £210,000 is available, to cover for salary costs and consumables over a maximum of 3 years.

For both Fellowships preference will be given to candidates who intend to pursue research in the future. In making the award, emphasis will be placed not only on the project itself, but also on the candidate’s potential and the quality of the training proposed.
