Long-Gap Esophageal Atresia Is a Unique Entity within the Esophageal Atresia Defect Spectrum.

This paper looks at the differences between people with long gap OA and those with short gap. It finds that those with long gap OA are less likely to have associated TOF than short gap, less likely to have associated anomalies or be part of a syndrome like VACTERL, and more likely to have Down’s syndrome.
