In this presentation, Dr Charles Shaw-Smith, Consultant in Clinical Genetics at Royal Devon University Hospital, explores the science behind OA/TOF.
Dr Shaw-Smith gives an overview of current genetic research, the role of chromosomes, and why OA/TOF is usually a one-off event in families. He also gives an update into his own long-standing hypothesis: the possible connection between OA/TOF and twins – even those who might never have been detected during pregnancy.
