TOFS member shortlisted for award

Update: 16 September, 2025

Congratulations to Phil (and Felicity) on winning the Rescue Dog Medal of Honour award at the Service Dogs Awards 2025 on Saturday.

Congratulations to TOFS member Felicity and her dog Phil for being named as finalists in the Service Dogs UK  Medal of Honour Awards in the Assistance Dog & Rescue Dog categories.

Felicity, was born with OA/TOF, autism and a rare disease called vestibular dysautonomia, which can cause her to lose consciousness without warning. Navigating the world with these conditions was incredibly challenging until she rescued a puppy named Phil in 2021.

Phil is no ordinary dog. He has been trained to become a dual-purpose assistance dog, learning to detect Felicity’s medical episodes and help her manage the daily struggles of being autistic.

This incredible partnership has completely transformed Felicity’s life. Thanks to Phil, she has regained her independence and confidence, allowing her to attend college and pursue her passions.

Good luck to them both in the awards.
