World Mental Health Day, 2026

This Saturday, 10th October is World Mental Health Day, an opportunity to remind ourselves why good mental health is so vital, and how we can prioritise it in our lives. It is also a chance to talk openly and listen to the experiences of others.

The theme for this year is “Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change”. With this in mind, we want to highlight a new survey from RareMinds that you may wish to take part in.

RareMinds is a specialist mental health service for the rare condition community. You may recall that TOFS recently commissioned them to facilitate two group programmes to support those born with OA/TOF: one for adults and one for parents (which is currently ongoing).

RareMinds would like to hear from everyone impacted by rare conditions – affected individuals, parents, carers, partners, and family members – about your experiences when trying to access professional mental health support.

You can find the survey at: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/t/RMSurvey2026/

You can also find more resources for mental health here on the TOFS website.
