England’s most iconic river provides a stunning backdrop for an unforgettable adventure. Whether you walk, jog, or run, you can set your own pace and achieve something incredible while supporting our vital work.
The Challenge
Join over 3,000 adventurers starting at Putney Bridge. The full 100km Ultra Challenge heads upstream along the famous Thames Towpath to Henley-on-Thames.
You’ll journey through historic locations like Richmond, Hampton Court, Runnymede, and Windsor, taking in wonderful scenery before reaching a well-deserved riverside finish line.
Options for Everyone:
Don’t fancy the full 100km? There are also 50km, 25km, and a 10km route starting at Henley. There truly is a Thames Path Challenge for every ability!

This fee goes towards covering your subsidised entry cost and the admin fees charged by the race organisers. Payable on application.

This is the minimum amount (before Gift Aid) that we would expect a participant to raise. But you don’t have to stop there! many of our fundraisers really go for it and most will raise far above that amount!
Fundraising Deadlines:
At least 50% of the Sponsorship target (for either the Sponsorship for Charity or Mixed Funding option) should be raised by 3 weeks prior to the Challenge. At this time TOFS will pay a Fee for your place to the Organiser (similar to the Self Funding cost). Failure to meet the 50% target may result in cancellation of your place. The remaining 50% should be with TOFS 4 weeks after the Challenge.
